Directory Of Services
The following listings include cities, counties, sheriff's offices, and other public organizations that provide telephone reassurance programs to their communities. Many of the older calling services (not associated with Database Systems Corp.) are referred to as RUOK programs, and are either automated or employ community volunteers. With manual RUOK programs, volunteers donate their time to call home bound individuals such as the elderly or handicapped. These calls provide reassurance that the resident is OK.

Database Systems Corp. (DSC) provides emergency alert services and community contact systems. These systems can also automatically call households checking on individuals to ensure their well-being. This program is referred to as our CARE (Call Reassurance) solution. This service can re-dial the number several times and if there is no response, a message can be provided to a monitoring center informing them that a resident is not responding to this call or requires assistance.
These programs are effective and have helped residents who were unable to request assistance on their own when injured or stricken.

These programs allow seniors to remain in their home later in their lives (Aging In Place).
